H55 Temporary Diversion

About H55 Temporary Diversion

The H55 Temporary Diversion project involved the construction of a temporary realignment of the existing Highway 55 over a length of approximately 18.8 kilometers within the OXAGON/NEOM area. The diversion was essential to maintain traffic flow while enabling permanent infrastructure works to proceed.

The scope included bulk earthworks, backfilling, and compaction, along with surface preparation to accommodate temporary road construction. Earthworks quantities reached approximately 5.45 million cubic meters, reflecting the significant scale of the diversion works.

The project was executed under tight schedule constraints and required strict adherence to safety and traffic management standards. Successful delivery ensured uninterrupted connectivity while supporting parallel development activities within NEOM.
